Along with attending the advisers class, “Advising Student Publications in a Digital World,” advisers may choose to stay in the residence hall and receive three meals per day. That cost is the same as the student cost, $475.

Otherwise, advisers may stay at the Best Western on 23rd and Iowa Streets in Lawrence (785-843-9100), where we have reserved a discounted block of rooms. Just tell them you’re attending the Kansas Journalism Institute.

Commuting advisers (coming from home, the Best Western or elsewhere) may still choose to receive three meals per day on campus. That cost is $250.

If advisers wish to commute each day to KJI and provide their own meals, class costs $175.

Please note only advisers are allowed to commute to KJI, not students. When completing registration, please write which option you prefer on the registration form.
